Just simply no words for this solo.
Every dance has a story line. Admittedly, I’ve watched all episodes of Dance Moms, and no matter how small, every dance has some significance – kind of like literature. I take this dance to say that she is entering this new world of the unknown. She stumbles but she stays controlled and poised. The winds of the new world shake her and push her down, and yet she stays connected and grounded.
Enter One.
The feeling brings me back to a walking in a rainy Cambridge or standing in a rainy line in front of the poetry cafe. Realizing the world you’re living in, the one you’re in – sometimes the new or the unknown or even the uncomfortable, has become your world.
